DNA Testing

Paternity & Genetic Testing:
Southern California Drug Testing Clinc certified technicians can collect saliva swabs to collect a DNA specimen to be analyzed by a licensed laboratory to determine paternity and also genetics of the individuals tested.
Our DNA Laboratories are participating in a number of national and international accreditation programs, including AABB (American Association of Blood Banks), Forensic Quality Services International(FQSI) and the New York Department of Health.
Paternity Testing:
Simply Means Establishing Fatherhood...
Everyone is born with a unique genetic blueprint known as DNA (DeoxyriboNucleic Acid). Because DNA is passed down from the mother and father to a child, DNA identification provides a conclusive way to determine biological relationships. Consequently, DNA testing has become the most accepted method to determine identity within the legal and scientific communities.
You will find no more accurate method for determining paternity than the technology utilized by Florida Drug Screening's laboratories. The patented system was developed specifically for paternity testing, and is the most advanced and powerful method available today, with results accepted by courts in the U.S. and abroad.
Using this technology, if the DNA of the Alleged Father and Child matches, the probability that he is the biological father is typically over 99.9999%. Conversely, if there are mismatches between the DNA of an Alleged Father and Child, he is 100% excluded from being the biological father.
Legal or non legal Testing?
Private (Non-Legal) Paternity Test:
A private paternity test can be collected by yourself, in the privacy of your own home, but is not admissible in court. The private paternity test is a quick, private and economical solution that is perfect for families who are seeking the truth regarding paternity for personal information.
Legal Paternity Test:
Samples for a legal test must be collected or witnessed by a neutral third party such as a collector, laboratory, doctor, or clinic. They will use proper Chain of Custody; a documentation process used to ensure the test results are legally admissible. You will be required to show government issued photo ID. In addition, a photograph of all test participants may be taken.
Twin Zygosity:
Fraternal twins have different genes. They were conceived from different eggs and sperm. Fraternal twins may be of the same sex, or, they may be of different sex. The DNA twin zygosity test determines whether twins are identical or fraternal.
Grandparentage: In cases where the alleged father is deceased or unknown, the paternal grandparents can be tested to determine the likelihood they are the child's true paternal grandparents.
Siblings:
Full siblings are individuals who have the same biological mother and the same biological father. Half siblings share only one parent.
Family Reconstruction:
In cases where the alleged father is deceased or missing, a DNA reconstruction test may be performed.Such DNA testing is possible because the genes of the deceased or missing alleged father are present in his known biological family members (i.e., his parents, his siblings, his known children).
GenCodex:
Your child's personal DNA identity remains constant from the moment of conception to the end of life.
Your child's GenCodex (personal DNA identity print) demonstrates your child*s genetic similarity to family members as well as the genetic uniqueness that distinguishes your child from the rest of the world.
Here are a few reasons why clients choose a formal court admissible test:
A Judge or Attorney has requested a copy of the paternity test result
Immigration
Child Support
Divorce
Tested Parties are in Different States or Locations
Criminal case
Alleged Father is Incarcerated
