Lipotrepein Capsules

Lipotropic literally means “fat-loving” and the term is used to refer to substances that are able to help the liver metabolize fats and remove them from the blood stream. Lipotropic nutrients increase production of lecithin by the liver thereby helping to keep cholesterol more soluble and lessening deposits in blood vessels. They help prevent accumulation of fats in the liver. They also detoxify amines, which are by-products of protein metabolism.  Besides improving fat metabolism, lipotropics will also aid in the metabolism of fat soluble nutrients and aid the liver in its other metabolic functions such as the processing of hormones, estrogen, sulfa-drugs, glucose and glycogen.  The Lipotrepein capsules provide Thiamine (B1), Riboflavin (B2), Pantothenic Acid, Pyridoxil 5’ Phosphate, Niacinamide, Methyl Cobalamine B-12, Choline, Methionine, Iodine, Magnesium, Vitamin C and botanicals Dandelion and Green Tea.     These powerful ingredients act by both increasing your body’s metabolism to burn fat and by aiding your body in removing and transporting fat out of your body.  We recommend capsule supplementation daily.

B-12 Injection

We include B-12 injections on a weekly basis as an option. B-12 is a vitamin typically found in meat and dairy products.  It helps in the formation of red blood cells and is essential for nervous system function.  B12 creates a significant energy boost for the body.  Patients who take it feel like moving around more and tend to burn more calories through increased movement.

B-Complex #6 Tablets

These contain a group of eight water-soluble B vitamins.  With extra bioactive Pyridoxal 5’ Phosphate (B6), essential for such processes as amino acid metabolism, glycogen (sugar storage) breakdown and proper metabolism of fatty acids, B6 is also important in preventing fluid retention and helping to alleviate premenstrual symptoms.  Although each B vitamin is chemically distinct, they often work together in the various biochemical processes in the body.  This is a great supplement to the Lipotrepein as it has all the B vitamins and combats fluid retention.

MIC Injection

Comprised of Methionone, Inositol and Choline, this shot is a concentrated version of the key lipotropic factors.  These substances again, help maintain liver function and promote fat breakdown.  This injection’s main role is to supplement and aid the weight loss process when it becomes sluggish by providing extra fat burning power, but it is also an excellent power-up when used alongside the program’s other elements.

 L-Carnitine Injection

L-carnitine is an amino acid (a building block for proteins) that is naturally produced in the body. L-carnitine helps the body produce energy. It is important for heart and brain function, muscle movement, and many other body processes.

Phentermine (Ionamine)

This is a short term adjunct in a regimen of weight reduction based on calorie restriction.  The most common side effects include headaches, insomnia, nervousness and irritability.  Palpitations, tachycardia and elevated blood pressure may also occur.  These types of medications must not be taken by persons with hyperthyroidism, glaucoma, agitated states, advanced arteriosclerosis, symptomatic cardiovascular disease, moderate to severe hypertension, or a history of drug abuse.

Fluid Pills – Maxzide, Dyazide

The water you drink plays a key role in helping with weight loss as well as affecting water retention in the body.  To burn glucose and fat efficiently the body must have adequate hydration.  If you’re sticking faithfully to your diet but the scale still isn’t budging (or even worse, it’s climbing) you may have too much water in your body.  Our doctor can prescribe a fluid pill for you.  Do remember, though, the more water you drink, the less you retain.  You also need to consider possible causes for your water-retention:

Too much sodiumWrite down what you eat, recording the amount of sodium you take into your body each day.  If you’re a healthy adult, you shouldn’t exceed the range of 1,500 to 2,400 milligrams daily.  When your diet has too much sodium, your blood becomes saltier.  To dilute it, water is drawn from your cells, making you thirsty.

Too much sugar Too much sugar intake increases the hormone insulin.  Whenever your body has high levels of insulin, it’s difficult to get rid of sodium.

Excess toxic body waste

MedicationsSteroids can make the kidneys hold on to sodium, causing puffiness.

Long-term low calorie diet

Deficient diet

Lack of exercise

Hormonal causesToo much estrogen can activate the creation of aldosterone (a hormone causing the kidneys to retain water.)
